How did it start?
It was in 1990 after a storm. Josef Schneeberger came up with the idea of an emergency power generator, which was supposed to supply electricity easily and effectively to farmers in particular. Since a tractor is part of every farmer’s basic equipment, it was logical for him to use its PTO to generate electricity.
PTO generators at that time were complicated and unsafe. That’s why Josef developed his own generator, which set new standards: it was simpler and safer. We are already in the second generation still working on emergency power generation. With a lot of know-how, continuous improvements and further development, we have made our PTO generator the number 1 in the DACH region.

1980 Founded in 1980 as an engine winding company, we have already undergone many changes. However, we have always remained true to our passion for electrical engineering.
1990 Josef Schneeberger developed the first prototype of a PTO generator. Since then about 7,000 PTO generators have been sold. His son Klaus completed his apprenticeship as an electrical engineer and mechanical engineer in his father’s company. Of course, the only possible topic for his work as a factory manager was “The PTO Generator. ”
Since 2011 he and his wife Barbara have been running the company in the second generation. Today we are proud to say that our PTO generator has established itself as a quality leader on the German-speaking market.
